About Us

The American Association of Brief & Strategic Therapists is a professional association of marriage and family therapists, clinical social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, and counselors who share a constructivist viewpoint. Our members practice Brief Therapy, Strategic Therapy, and Brief Strategic Therapy.

What drives us
The Association is committed to advance the understanding, research, clinical practice, and dissemination of constructivist therapies. The Association supports training in constructivist therapies for therapists, promotes conferences to expose clinicians and the public to approaches that are effective and efficient, and publishes the Journal of Brief, Strategic & Systemic Therapies to disseminate research and promote discussion of constructivism.
